Jul 29, 2021 - I come as many Saturdays as possible to the Farmers' and Crafters' Market. I guess it has been too cold for the corn to be quite ready, but there are many other offerings from honey, flowers, sweets, produce, beautiful boats made of various pieced together items, handmade dolls and stuffed animals, painted arts and crafts, wonderful Polish food fare, a food truck staffed by people with a good sense of humor, potholders, wine, raw meat items to buy, jewelry, herb teas and nature walk sign-ups from one vendor, and beautiful woodwork pieces. I have even ordered a bookshelf made to my specifications from one of the vendors, one doesn't really find them new for sale. I drive down to the new area to avoid standing too close to a train if it goes by, but one can walk down. There is a big drop-off on the path down, so I have been trying to schedule to go with a friend who has a sight disability so as to be able to help navigate that moment.
