Kootenai County Farmers Market I

Jul 25, 2024 - Worst experience at the Saturday Market with the largest organic vendor there. Went early and waited in their one hour line checking out and their card reader didn’t work. The lady apparently the owner berated her husband over and over in front of me, very embarrassing. They instructed me to go buy tokens to purchase which I did and came back to pay not thinking I would have to wait in another hours line so I went to the front and waited until she was done with her customer since they were holding my $65 in vegetables and fruits roasting in the sun in my bag, 98 degree day. A customer started to complain loudly at me for cutting in the line and the owner didn’t explain what had happened and gave me a smirk like it was my fault, Like I deserved it. I paid and she wouldn’t hand over my items, just ignored me.. So I waited some more until I could get the husbands attention to get my items. One and half hours total and my produce and fruits were ruined. The most embarrassing moment to date. Beyond rude!! Please have a little respect for your paying customers! The husband by the way was very kind.

Jan 01, 2017 - This farmers market is the best, there's something for everyone! There's everything from handmade goods to fresh eggs, milk, and bread, homegrown fruit and vegetables, jewelry, flowers and plants, and lots of other goodies. The area it's in is filled with tall pines so it's nicely shaded for hot summer days. It's a fun Saturday morning thing to do!
